Let it Snow was founded in 1959 by Scott and G-Rant. LIS was founded in the name of science. It was created to help unite all of the scientists that lived on Antarctica. The population of Let it Snow is roughly 50,000 people. LIS has treaties with all nations of the world, to help insure that everyone in the state gets along, and so that LIS can be a peaceful place to conduct scientific experiments. Originally, there were only a few dozen scientists in Antarctica. Slowly, more and more governments sent scientists to study and lean there. As the population grew, the scientists formed bands, and then tribes. Eventually a state was formed. The primary way on and off the island state of LIS is through a brand new runway that hosts snow planes and other light aircraft.
Because it is a direct democracy, there is no central leader that is in charge of the country.
LIS is protected by the seals that live on the shore. The seals there are so vicious, that no one will even think about trying to attack by boat. It is so cold, that heavy-duty aircraft will not function, so there is no threat of an air attack. In addition, there are at least 5 scientist from all of the states in the world, so attacking LIS would mean killing its own people.
